A book is an ocean of knowledge .It is something which helps you learn new words , new meanings taking you on journeys long and far , into fantasy world filled with adventures.Books are one's best friend - companions for life .When we feel bored books help us to pass our time.. If you are alone books are your family and your friends. There are many different types of books like

All of you must have books in your houses .... some of  you might like reading some not ...but I love to read kids story books like-

Arabian Nights 

Fairy Tales

Geronimo Stilton series

and many others 

Recently book which I read was Geronimo  Stilton's Creepella Von Cacklefur  Series',The Thirteen Ghost

The Author of this book is ( Elisabetta Dami ) She is an Italian Author .

This book is Awesome and i love to read Geronimo Stilton series .

Geronimo Stilton  has a lot of mouse friends,but none as spooky as Creepella Von Cacklefur ! She is an enchanting and mysterious mouse with a pet bat name Bitewing .Creepella  lives in a cemetery,sleeps in a marble scarophagus and drives hearse. By night she is special effects and set designer for scary films and by day she's studying to become journalist.

In this particular story Creepella Von Cacklefur is a journalsist .... Creepella is writing a chilling story on ghosts for which she wants to take ghosts' interview . So Creepella and her niece Shivereen head to scary squeakspear mansion for interview  ... in the mansion creepella and her niece meet Billy Squeaspear who was a writer. Billy was afraid of entering the house because he was scared of ghosts.

Finally all of them enter the house .Inside they find some clues of habitation like - half eaten cake,open lights, bath tub filled with spider water etc . Then , they find a secret  wardrobe with steps leading them into the basement. There they find a lizzard closet. When they  enter the closet , there is a big room with 12 ghosts. Creepella takes interview of 12 ghosts but where is the13th ghost she exclaims ... one ghost takes her to a secret door .she opens the secret door and enters inside.There  she finds the 13th ghost who was Billy Squeakspeare, Creepella's great great great great grand  uncle.They both hug and  finally Creepella prints her article.

SAVE WATER

Hi..... Friends 

Did you drink water today ? Ofcourse you might have.No one can live without drinking water.Water is essential part of our life.Water is very important for all living organisms whether human beings plants or animals.No living organism can survive without water.Infact our body is made up of atleast 60%of water .  Water is used for agriculture , in industries, for bathing , for cooking , cleaning etc .Most human activities require water .

Water being essential needs to be saved.Water scarcity is the lack of fresh water resources to meet water demand. If we won't save water then we won't be able to procure water for even drinking .Saving Water is something that is taught to children in schools from a very young age . During this year's annual exam , for my art test , the topic I got was SAVE WATER .And guess what , I got an A+ on it . 🙂Yeah , it's the same drawing that you saw at the top of this page🙂

Here are some of many methods through which we can save water-

• by keeping bucket under AC and RO outlet pipes.The water , thus collected can be used for watering plants.
• by rain water harvesting
• by using proper amount of water neither too much nor too less , for our activities.

So try to save water and take care until my next blog .

MY FIRST GLASS PAINTING !

How are you all ? Hope safe and sound within confines of your home . It is neither safe nor wise to venture out of your houses these days . As they say prevention is always better than cure . Yeah , yeah ,I know in whichever direction you turn your eyes and ears a looooooooooong list of do's and don'ts appear . However , no matter how irritated we might feel at seeing these advisories they are for our utmost safety and we must follow the instructions.

Okay ! Okay ! I am not going to bore you with this same advisory yet again; rather

I am going to talk about my latest project i.e MY VERY FIRST GLASS PAINTING. You mighty have got a little idea about the topic of this blog from the title already .

The day my exam got over , I went to the market to get all materials for my painting.Markets weren't deserted those days like they are now .In fact they were buzzing with activity . So, I bought a black and a gold liner , glass colours and most importantly an OHP sheet . I was bursting with joy as I carried this stuff home . I found it difficult to relax and wait to start my painting the next day. As it was already late,mom strictly cautioned me against starting my project right away .So off I went - to sleep🙂

The next day , I got up early and got to work . The very first step was to draw an image to be painted on an A4 size sheet . I had selected an image of a peacock to be painted . So , I drew the image on A4 size sheet .After completion of the drawing ,I placed OHP sheet on the drawn figure and secured it with paper clips . After this,with black liner I drew the outlines on the OHP sheet . Then , I kept the sheet, for a day ,at a safe place to let the liner dry completely before filling in the colours .

The next day, liner had dried up completely so I took glass colours and coloured the image.Again,I had to leave it for a day to dry completely before framing the painting. 

On day three my painting was complete . After this I stuck a few decorative stickers on the image that made it all the more beautiful . Then,I framed the painting too , on my own and Ta!Da!my glass painting is ready !

Hi Friends

How are you doing ? Welcome to my blog . Thanks for dropping by .

So tell me , are your exams over or have they been cancelled because of 'you know why?'Yes ! You got it ! CORONA VIRUS.

Anyway, my exams got over before they could be cancelled and I am happy about it . After my exams got over , I got a 15 days break during which I was introduced to blogging . I came across a few blogs written by children and guess what ? I had an idea - idea to start my own blog !So here I am with my own blog , my thoughts and musings , my passions and creations .

In my blogs you will come across a wide range of topics from art and craft to cooking from travelogues to reading and writing so on and so forth. So be ready to be surprised !

As much as I love reading and writing , I love drawing and painting too . Recently I tried my hand at glass painting . Painting is complete and only framing is to be done which I shall complete this evening 🙂 .So in my next blog I will be talking about my glass painting .
